A premier Hospital is seeking to hire cashiers.

Job summary:

Manage the collection of cash from customers for services provided, itemizing and totaling transactions accurately and efficiently for banking purposes.

Essential Job Functions

1. Collection and confirmation of cash from patient before payment
2. Payment of invoice generated from different department
3. Ensure proper accountability of cash for the days transactions, by reconciling the accounts for the day i.e. ensure no shortage of account
4. Document the transactions for the day into the soft and hardcopy cash book daily.
5. Ensure proper sorting of cash by denominations daily before handover to the accountant.
6. Submitting sorted cash of the days transactions to accountant
7. Prepare patients bill and liaising with the admin officer for verification
8. In charge of presenting verified bills to patients or patient’s relatives.
9. Answerable to the accountant and head of administration.
10. Any other duty that may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience
Minimum HND or BSc accounting/ 1 year cognate experience

Specialized knowledge
Use of Microsoft Excel

Skills
• Cash management
• Cash register use
• Skills in communication with public
• Managing cash drawers
• Basic transaction skills
